Every visit starts with a fibre check so we can match the right water temperature, chemistry and tool head to your carpets and upholstery. 6. Drying and finishing
Most carpets are dry in 3–6 hours with good ventilation, though drying time depends on the fabric, room ventilation, temperature, level of soiling and cleaning method. We groom the fibre before we leave so the finish looks even.
Heavy stains, pet odour and delicate fabric limitations
For heavily soiled carpets or persistent pet odours we add 15% to the calculated total to cover the extra pre-treatment and dwell time. Delicate fabrics — wool, silk, velvet, viscose — always need to be assessed before we quote. Some historic marks, dye transfers, bleach damage, burns or long-set spills cannot be removed permanently, and we'll tell you honestly at the inspection rather than guess.
