Products matter more than effort on original surfaces
Original timber and stone floors are the reason we ask what a property has before we arrive. A general-purpose cleaner on an oiled or waxed board strips the finish and leaves a dull patch; too much water lifts the grain. That is damage rather than fair wear and tear, which means it comes out of a deposit. Matched chemistry and controlled moisture avoid the whole problem.
